The Town of Richmond Hill, the Don Watershed Regeneration Council and the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority held the 8th Annual Mill Pond Splash on Sunday, June 4, 2006 from 12 noon to 4:00 pm at Mill Pond Park.

The Mill Pond Splash is a family-oriented community outreach project promoting the importance of protecting and regenerating the Don River, by encouraging community stewardship and environmental awareness.  Activities included environmental exhibits, tree plantings, the building of bird houses courtesy of The Home Depot Canada, games and wild life displays.

There was also musical entertainment and light refreshments. A great time was had by all.
